Introduction

For thousands of years, San Pedro de Atacama has been an oasis at which travelers stopped for the necessary water, food, shelter and rest to continue their voyage.

In this ancient site, surrounded by a historical wall which for centuries has sheltered cattle drivers and shepherds, we have created a house made of stone, adobe and wood where we want to continue with the noble task of sheltering travelers who take the leap to live the unforgettable experience of the Atacama Desert.

Awasi was born in November 2006. We are not a traditional hotel. Our objective is to provide memorable travel experiences resting on our three pillars of hospitality: lodging, gastronomy and outings.

Awasi is a luxury boutique hotel, but not of traditional luxury: rather of luxury defined by personalized service and details. Awasi comes from the words Wasi or huasi, meaning home or house in the ancient language Aymara.
