Hotel Tamisa Golf is situated along the coastal strip recently named "The Costa del Golf" which is a golfers paradise with more than 40 courses and an enviable climate all year round.

Hotel Tamisa Golf provides a complimentary minibus service to and from Mijas Golf, Santana Golf and La Cala. Reduced green-fees at most local golf courses are available for clients of the hotel.

Handicap certificates are required. Rules of etiquette must be observed on all golf courses. Cancellations are subject to the rules of each golf course.

Mijas Golf:
Mijas Golf has become one of the most popular golf complexes in Europe, known by the outstanding condition of their courses and the friendly atmosphere and excellent service provided to the clients.

The courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, are situated in the valley of Mijas, north of Fuengirola, only twenty minutes from the Málaga international airport and Marbella, and 3.5 kms. from the sea.

Los Olivos Course: (18 holes) Designed by Robert Trent Senior, the main feature which distinguishes this course from The Lakes is the abundance of trees – hence the name – and its smaller size, as well as fewer water hazards. The greens are smaller, undulating and well defended. Although both are the work of the same designer, there is no doubt there are interesting contrasts between the two courses: if Los Lagos are based on hazards of water and sand, Los Olivos is strategic narrow tree lined fairways and elevated greens.

Los Lagos Course: (18 holes) With its 6,367 metres, this course is the longer of the two which comprise of Mijas Golf. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, Los Lagos is a ground course with wide fairways and a few forest trees obstacles, but is defended by many bunkers and nine lakes, from which the course gets its name and which easily trap the ball. It is a course with soft movement and large greens. It could be said that the American designer wanted to present a course especially for amateurs, but at the same time, it can present a challenge for the best players.
